内容提要

Black hole accretion is a fundamental physical processes in the universe because it plays a key role in many astrophysical fields such as active galactic nuclei，Gamma-ray bursts，and black hole X-ray binaries.Black hole accretion flows can be divided into two broad classes：cold and hot.Hot accretion flows are believed to exist in center of most galaxies in the universe and is the main research topic in this field in recent 20 years.Because of his important contributions to this field，last year Dr.Feng Yuan from Shanghai Astronomical Observatory of Chinese Academy of Sciences was invited to publish a review article in Annual Review of Astronomy and Astrophysics，which is the top review journal in the field of astronomy and astrophysics.In this review，they critically overview the processes in the field of hot accretion flow，including the dynamics，radiation，microphysics，jet formation，applications to various kinds of objects such as AGNs and black hole X-ray binaries，AGN feedback，and their prospects.
